We buy and supply surplus consumer goods across seven categories, several of which are closely regulated. This page explains how we handle conformity, documentation and traceability, what we expect from businesses selling stock to us, and what we expect from businesses reselling ours. It forms part of our Terms of Supply and our Terms of Purchase.

Our position in the supply chain

We are a distributor. We buy finished, marked goods and supply them on unchanged. We do not manufacture, repackage, relabel, or sell goods under our own name or trademark — because doing any of those things would make us the manufacturer in law, and change what we could honestly tell you about a product.

What we check before we buy

Before we take a load, we verify that:

the goods carry the conformity marking required for the Great Britain market;
the manufacturer's name and address, and where applicable the importer's, are present;
a type, batch or serial reference is present where the product requires one;
the required documentation exists — Declaration of Conformity, instructions, safety data sheet, as the category demands;
instructions, warnings and safety information are provided in English;
required warnings and age markings are intact and legible;
the goods are not subject to a current recall, withdrawal or safety notice;
we can identify who supplied the goods and where they were originally placed on the market.

If we can't establish those things, we don't buy the stock. That's why we can be specific about what accompanies everything we sell.

Conformity marking

Goods we supply carry UKCA marking, CE marking, or both, as applicable to the product. Both are currently accepted for the Great Britain market. We never remove, alter, obscure or add a conformity marking.

Documentation supplied with your order

Where a product requires a Declaration of Conformity, we supply it with the goods or make it available to you on request. The same applies to manufacturer's instructions, safety data sheets and any approval documentation. Each listing states what accompanies the stock, and if you need to see documentation before you commit, ask and we'll send it.

Traceability

We keep records identifying who supplied each batch to us and which customers we supplied it to, so goods can be traced in both directions. For product categories where the law requires it, we hold those records for at least ten years. You should keep equivalent records of what you bought from us and who you sold it to.

Withdrawal and recall

If a product must be withdrawn or recalled, we contact affected customers directly using the details on file. You must act immediately: stop selling the affected stock, tell us what you still hold and who you supplied it to, and co-operate with us and with any enforcement authority.

If you have reason to believe anything we supplied is unsafe or non-compliant, stop selling it and tell us the same day.

What we won't handle

Goods without their required conformity marking or documentation
Goods we cannot verify as genuine
Cosmetics that have been relabelled or repacked, or with no UK Responsible Person on the label
Upholstered furniture without its permanent fire-safety label
Child car seats
Safety-critical vehicle components
Used or previously issued PPE
Anything subject to a current recall or safety notice
Food, drink, alcohol, tobacco or vapes

Your responsibilities when you resell

Keep marking, labelling, warnings and instructions with the goods and intact.
Don't repackage, relabel or own-brand the goods unless you're prepared to take on the manufacturer's legal obligations that follow.
Store and transport goods so their conformity isn't affected.
Keep traceability records for the period the relevant legislation requires.
Hold whatever registrations your own business needs — including any producer or distributor obligations for electrical equipment and batteries.
Satisfy yourself the goods are suitable and lawful for the customers you sell to.
